Silk Road Cities written and compiled by Elena Paskaleva and Gabrielle van den Berg presents a brief history of the region through its Islamic architectural legacy. The exquisite decorum of the monuments located in major urban centres along the Silk Roads is illustrated with vintage photographs, prints and postcards. This publication accompanies an exhibition in the Old University Library in Leiden.
