FROM LOGO TO HOUSESTYLE
A complete housestyle is more than just the logo. It is made up from an entire set of visual elements that will enable you to communicate with your audience.
Housestyle guidelines will define what visual elements are required to promote your business and help maintain quality. From minimum sizes for your logo to specific colours and typefaces and perhaps a slogan.
Further elements are required to create your marketing material. These could include guidelines for tone of voice, photography and illustration.
TAKING THE LONG TERM VIEW
Investing in a complete, well thought out set of guidelines will mean that you are fully prepared to make whatever marketing and communication material you require. Implementation comes a lot easier. A series of pre-made templates can be utilised over and over to make advertising, brochures, signage, presentations, promotions, etc…
A good designer should not only be a valuable source of creative ideas but also able to deliver consistant quality. The 10th brochure needs to look as good as the 1st!
INITIAL MEETING
Perhaps you are able to explain what your company does in one sentance, or perhaps you have commissioned a complete communications plan.
You can fill in the special Identity Worksheet under the contact button to describe your business and your vision and then email this to me to request a quote or an initial meeting.
DESIGN PRESENTATION
I will then take your vision and produce several visual ideas for us to discuss further.
On presentation, one idea may be perfect, one may have aspects you like, one may be absolutely not what you want. Whatever the outcome, you will now have a clear idea of what you do and don't want.
In the next phase the best ideas are fine tuned until we have your new identity resolved.
IMPLEMENTATION
In the last phase I make all final files; logos for print and web, colour and black and white versions, artwork and templates for all required items, business cards, letterheads etc. along with a comprehensive set of guidelines if required.
You could then instruct me to manage printing of items, design a brochure or build your website in line with your new identity.
